What just happened on the iPhone

Apple announced the deal back in January. CNBC, January 12, 2026: "Apple is collaborating with Google to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities, which includes a significant upgrade to Siri anticipated later this year." Apple's quoted line: "We concluded that Google's technology offers the most robust foundation for Apple Foundation Models."

Six months later it shipped. iOS 27 Beta 2 dropped June 22 with a meaningfully rebuilt Siri. Early testers report faster response, real contextual understanding, the new standalone Siri app, and a default-on switch to Siri AI with an option to route hard queries to ChatGPT.

Services list. Every service you actually do. Plain language descriptions in the description fields, not marketing speak. The AI reads those word for word.

Service area. Precise. List your real ZIPs and cities. Not a 50-mile radius drawn loose.

Hours. Including holiday closures. Including emergency-after-hours if you do them.

Photos. Dated 2026 photos. The model trusts recency.

Q&A. Answer every question on your profile. Seed it with FAQs you actually get on the phone. The AI lifts those directly.
